children’s day :)

By Faithieee

today was a good and bad day. everything was good till night. after having dinner at rand’s house i waited ONE AND A HALF HOURS for a cab. im not even kidding. i waited for 20 minutes. some FREAKS crossed the road from the opposite side of the road and stood in front of me and took the first taxi that came along. i was PISSED. oh but i would have been a hell lot more pissed if i’d known that them taking that cab meant i had to wait for another ONE HOUR PLUS.

i can safely say its the first time i’ve really sworn so much in a looooooooong time. grrrrrrrrr!!! was so damn frustrated that i cried a bit even. rand finally came down to join me after about an hour. thanks rand. in the end i took a bus which took half an hour for me to get home.

stupid damn taxis. plus i called the comfort hotline about 20 times and all their operators were busy every time. SO ANGRY!!!

but lets put that past us and now talk about what i’ve been doing over the weekend.

-takes a deep breath-

on saturday we had a mooncake festival gathering. learnt how to make snowskin mooncakes [which i've done in nanyang so i made one and went to do other stuff heeeheee] had a pomelo peeling competition [oooh the whole worship hall smelt GREAT after that. mm sweet and juicy!] a peanut cracking contest [i tied 3rd with dom] and a peanut eating contest [i tied LAST with dom buahahaha.. chewed till my temples ached]

rand came too! :)

today was fun! last night after the mooncake thingie, as we left the church building, cons and i decided to get everyone to wear their school uniforms to church on sunday [today!] hahaha we called everyone and informed them. SO EXCITING!

i threw away my nanyang uniform so i borrowed from charis. the adults were greatly amused and we kids just had loads of fun checking each other out and laughing. hahaha cos we dont really get a chance to see EVERYONE in uniform on the same day.
