well. i got offers from nus and unsw asia quite some time back. didnt apply to ntu. i wouldnt go to unsw asia unless i got a scholarship [which i did not] so that’s one option less. i really wanted to go to smu so i wasnt going to accept nus till it was confirmed that i was unable to go to smu.
so time passed.
and passed.
i’d regularly go and check my application status online. every time it was the same thing.
“Thank you for your interest in SMU. Your application is still being processed. We will inform you of the outcome as soon as possible.”
or something like that.
day after day after day until i no longer clicked ‘enter’ with any anticipation cos i knew it was just going to say the same thing again.
and finally it was exactly one month after my smu interview. 16th may. and i hadnt gotten a reply! i was kinda disappointed. i wanted to be a body contortionist too! but i kept waiting until it was friday 18th may. cos by then i knew it’d be too late cos sun jin, who’d gotten accepted, said there was some function on sunday 20th may.
so i got used to the fact that i was going nus. i checked how many credit points i had, calculated when i could roughly finish studying at nus and i was happy. cos i had already told myself to go wherever God sent me. that its God’s will if He sends me to nus. plus i have a lot of nanyang friends in nus. [nanyang UNITE!]

at cell on friday everyone kept telling me to keep praying and maybe i’d get in. but i didnt really wanna hope cos then i’d just get disappointed again. plus, like i said, i’d accepted the fact that i was going to nus. not that nus is bad! i just wanted smu. you know? i mean sun jin got accepted to nus and smu but he was choosing to go to nus. plus apparently nus is ranked 17th globally for business.. not sure whats smu
then today.
i decided to check my application status. not sure why, since i’d already decided where i was going, but i just did.
and i saw this!

whatttt! i got into smu! yayyyy! oh yayyy! noooo! now i have to decide! arghhhh!!! sigh after i’d already decided on nus too! but yippeee!
haha very mixed feelings. i figured maybe i was on the waiting list. or maybe not? but who cares! i got in! and well its subject to confirmation but nvm sun jin got that too! just bounce with meeeee!
but now i have to decide. however, if i went by my original decision – go wherever God sends me, this means that i DONT have to decide, and should just go to smu!
nonetheless i shall go and ask jeanne about nus business though! once that pig comes back from portugal! and find out about course schedules [which i should've done in the first damn place. lazy me.] and make an informed wise decision! hahaha

and today my boss is treating all of us to pizza hut! :) just for fun. but i shall treat it as a mini celebration! buahaha.
